Mary Tan
Program Operations & Ecosystem Development @ Startups & VCs | Social Impact and Community Driven
Los Angeles, CA

As a program manager by trade and human-centered designer by passion, I thrive at the intersection of people and processes! My background in business operations and strategic initiatives enables deep community engagement through high-touch experiences and partnerships. My approach to problem-solving centers data analysis, systems thinking, and academic research. I am broadly interested in social impact, ecosystem development, and diversity initiatives.

From early-stage startup to venture-backed company and now accelerators, I am excited to support entrepreneurship at every stage. At Techstars, my team and I established a few inaugural programs: the first dual cohort accelerator for 24 startups in Los Angeles, the first accelerator for software innovation in Columbus, and the first University Catalyst and IP Momentum programs at USC.

My creative career started at the MOCA and Louis Vuitton Young Arts Program. As a passionate community based artist, I have extensive experience with digital media, community advocacy, and youth mentorship. My work celebrates intersectional identities and raises social awareness through murals, printmaking, and illustration. Recently, I have been focused on disability justice and access.
